Hamburger Bahnhof , Berlin

Updated: Jan 13, 2020

In a recent visit to Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin I experienced ‘Bergama Stereo’ an architectural installation with sound by Cevdet Erek. This was the second exhibition I have seen in a series of installations at the Hamburger Bahnhof involving sound. The first was ‘The Murder of Crows’ in 2009 by Canadian artists, Janet Cardiff & George Bures Miller. Both were extremely engaging and I found myself contemplating and engaging in the works for many hours. This is something that has drawn me toward my current practice, the challenge of engaging the viewer further in the contemplation of my work. I am finding myself more and more drawn toward sound and particularly experimenting with voice in my current work. .
